About Me

Dr. Blandford’s mission to become a holistic healthcare provider was an organic journey which took nearly 10 years to achieve. She was inspired to go to school for massage therapy while living in Chicago. This sparked a heart-felt desire to help people. As a massage therapist, she knew she could do more. Discovering Naturopathic Medicine, she had found her calling to use natural methods to support health.

Traveling to Bastyr University near Seattle, WA, she studied intensely for 5 years to be educated as a naturopathic doctor (ND). NDs are trained in the basic sciences including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, etc, as well as cardiology, endocrinology, etc. NDs also takes classes in counseling, nutrition, physical medicine, herbal therapies, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, and research.

Dr. Blandford is a Michigan native returning home with her children to family and friends after 15 years out-of-state. She seeks to help the community which raised her to be who she is today by presenting nature-driven healthcare information supported by modern research. What makes Dr. Blandford different as a health consultant is her desire to meet her clients where they are at. Everyone’s journey to good health is unique; it can take a few days or a few years to achieve, and she will walk beside her clients on their journey to a healthier life. In the fast-paced, high stress lives many people find themselves living, she wants to present different ways to achieve optimal health by creating an environment of personal healing by working with the mind, body, and spirit of each and every client.

Dr. Blandford prefers helping working class adults and elders though she works with children when the opportunity arrives. She enjoys working with clients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal complaints, back/neck/joint pain, autoimmune disorders, etc. Dr. Blandford works to help you support your body's systems to restore balance and health. She also has an extensive background in soft tissue work as an experienced massage therapist of over 10 years.

As a member of your healthcare team, Dr. Blandford provides naturopathic health advice only.  She is trained as a naturopathic doctor and maintains her professional license in Washington State, but there is currently no licensing for Naturopathic Doctors in Michigan. Therefore, naturopathic medicine is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease and is not intended as a substitute for regular medical care. Dr. Blandford works as a naturopathic health consultant only in Michigan State, and she strongly encourages all clients to maintain and regularly see their primary care physician for check-ups.
