Plum Blossom Needling

Plum blossom needles are used for cutaneous acupuncture treatments. These devices have a number of needle projections carried within a single hammer-like device which strike the skin in a much broader area than do single filiform acupuncture needles. Due to the shape of the sharp projections in the device, the instrument is often referred to as a “seven-star” hammer. In general, these devices do not puncture subcutaneous tissue but rather stimulate the superficial or cutaneous acupuncture channels. This procedure effectively addresses dermatological conditions and cosmetic concerns, especially hair loss of all causes.
