NDs are trained to treat conditions using medical equipment

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) undergo an intense 4 year post-graduate program. Classes include the basic sciences and more advanced coursework related to supporting specific health systems such as the cardiovascular system. Their education also includes modalities like hydrotherapy, botanical therapies, lifestyle counseling, etc. To learn more about their education, click here.

Conditions NDs are Trained To Work With

NDs have to familiarize themselves with hundreds of individual health concerns during their education. They have access to a unique toolset of traditional naturopathic modalities and modern science which can have a positive impact on the majority of client complaints. The overarching goal of working with an ND is to help optimize health by supporting the body’s systems to gain the highest level of health and well-being that is possible for that individual. They can help their clients with things like supporting their gastrointestinal system or nervous system through lifestyle, herbal, hydrotherapy, etc., recommendations and education on how their body works.

NDs are NOT licensed in the state of MI and only operate to educate their clients on how to create their own best life. NDs can’t diagnose, treat, or cure any illness/disease in MI. Contact Dr. Blandford today for a free 15-minute consultation to see if her practice is right for you.
